Welcome to this website. I am attaching the introduction of a transcript of a lecture I gave as a visiting Professor at xxxxxx University on 12th December 2017. This lecture details my involvement in the discovery of the Plague Scrolls.

Professor Justin Tared: I would like to welcome everyone to today's lecture at xxxxx University, New York State. I appreciate it was probably a bit of a struggle for most of you to get here today - due to the blizzard - raging outside as we speak, however, I am sure you will all agree with me, that this is an opportunity not to be missed.

As you all know, it was in 2016, that two young Italian girls found, what are now known as the Plague Scrolls, buried deep in a cave near the town of Fiesole in Italy. These scrolls have now been translated from the vernacular Italian of the time, into 123 different languages. This new translation, which I consider to be the best translation to date, published by xxxxx Press, is by Antonella de Luca, Professor of Italian and English at xxxxx University.
